Sleep Over

Sleep Over!

Every time my daughters see their cousins, someone is sure to ask for a sleep over. The kids used to sleep at either my house or my sister Melanie's, but recently my mom's house has become ground zero.

I stayed over at my mom's for the last sleep over so I could spend time with her and my grandma. When watching the kids, it brought me back to the days when my sister Kate and I would stay over at our grandma's house with our cousins. Not much has changed...just the date. But back then, we'd spend an entire week with grandma. Don't know how she handled it, but she did.

The Morning After

I miss those days...the innocence, the family bonding. But I'm glad my kids and my nieces/nephews can share in these experiences. I look forward to the days when my kids can continue the tradition.
